Grace?

I’ve lived to learn grace is the kindness of God

It’s a reassurance that I don’t have to measure up because Jesus reached down. It is unqualified approval and unexpected joy – the Holy Spirit moving in my soul and creativity flowing through me. Grace has afforded me an umbrella of protection; oxygen when the world closes in and stitches when things rip apart. It’s the discovery of wholeness in myself and a celebration of failures restored.

Grace is embracing the stewardship of beauty, brushing hope into visio divina – holy seeing – a mirror of the Divine. It pulls me from the onslaught of visual scrolls, and calls me from distractions. It’s centering, noticing and being present.

It’s boundaries. It’s seeing trauma in the rearview mirror. Forgiving the frailty and brokenness in and around me in the church, remaining anchored in Jesus. Grace is trash to treasure, rescue and contentment, vulnerability and trust. It’s a gentle whisper and radical roar. It’s simple and complicated and more simple than complicated. And yes it’s amazing, that grace … in this one messy life.

HOW ABOUT YOU? What is your story?

I hope you experience the restoration of grace. Whether you believe in God, you’re sketchy about Jesus, cautiously curious, or maybe you’re an exvangelical and full-out done with the church, pursue the path and purpose God has for you. Go after the actualization of unqualified approval and unexpected joy in your life. Jesus waits with open arms to give it to you.

You’ll discover extra measures of confidence in your identity, leadership, and life.
